Has anyone seen this insane server? Etho posted a video playing it:

I got a chance to play tonight, it's one of the most insanely brilliant things I've ever seen/played. If you manage to get in among the thousands trying for 70 spots, it's amazing.

Have you guys heard of it? What do you think?

looks sick, i watched the whole thing. Isn't it a whitelisted server though? kinda a bummer, but you should just be able to install the mod and run it yourself yeah? because i would love to give it a try!!

Isn't it they change the whitelist every live stream? Like its who answers a random question first. But they're still developing it from what i know...

Yes, they livestream very often and during the livestream before they're about to start a game, they'll give out a link to a google docs form with a question on it and the first 70 people to get it right get whitelisted. With Etho putting up a video, they've gotten so popular already that they only let people get in once a night by banning them for a day after they get in. I got in because I knew the answer to the question and was quick enough :]

Also, as far as the mod goes, it's a custom things these two guys made, and as far as I know they aren't planning on releasing it anytime soon.

Concerning a release on it, the owner, Rob, did release the config files for it. What he does is he has a few plugins that I will not name, and he released the configs for them. He also specifically said, to NOT package it and redistribute it. But guess what happened. People packaged it and decided to try and make money off of it. The reason he didn't want people doing that, is because the server plugin's owners might get very angry with him, because people are making money off of their plugins. The plugins are going straight from the packagers into the downloader's hands, nothing going to the plugin devs. So, because people decided to do this, he took off the config files, and no one will be getting updated ones. He stated he likely will not be releasing this to anyone, unless he gets specific permission from the plugin devs, which he isn't really looking to do. But yes, Dul, it is amazing, and Rob is an absolute genius with how everything is set up.

I'm glad you're here to let me know allo' that, I was curious about it. Although, this bit, he says on the FAQ that MobDisguise and MagicSpells are most of it. If that's what you mean :] I do hope that he can manage to get those plugin devs permissions. It's just so much FUN, if it were easily accessible it would just be AWESOME.

Pff, well he puts it on the FAQ and I'm sure if someone knew enough about those plugins they'd know that anyways, it's not like mods he uses are a giant secret. He's done so much customization and awesomeness it doesn't even matter XD

The thing with having friends is that it's so impossible for even one person to get in let alone two at once XD But you really should try it, if you can get in, even alone is fun as.
